For the first time, dalawa ang shows na umeere ngayon na bida si Mike Tan—ang afternoon soap na Kung Aagawin Mo Ang Langit at ang primetime series na Legacy.

Kaya naman walang pagsidlan ang tuwa ng StarStruck 2 male winner nang makausap siya ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) last week.

"Sa totoo lang, napakasaya ko! Wala na akong ibang hihilingin pa.
"Masaya ako kung ano yung takbo ng career ko ngayon.
"Kung anuman yung nangyayari, sa mga roles na ibinibigay sa akin, ibinibigay na mga lead roles, wala na akong mahihiling pa.
"Napakasaya ko," sambit ni Mike.
Sa Kung Aagawin Mo Ang Langit ay mabait si Mike bilang si Jonas.
Sa Legacy naman ay medyo salbahe ang papel niya bilang si Third.
Ayon sa young actor, okay lang sa kanya na mula sa pagiging bida ay medyo kontrabida siya ngayon.
"Wala, wala naman sa aking problema 'yon, e.
"Kapag may ibinigay sa aking trabaho, gagawin natin.
"Wala naman akong hinihiling pang iba, natutuwa ako at sunud-sunod yung trabaho ko."

USER. Sa Legacy, ang role ni Mike bilang si Third ay isang user.
Kaya natanong ng PEP sa kanya kung sa tunay na buhay ba ay naranasan na niyang manggamit o magpagamit para sa pera o para sumikat.
"Hindi. Ako hindi, hindi talaga," sagot ng 25-year-old actor.
"Ako, para sa akin, tumagal na ako ng ilang taon sa show business, at narating ko kung anuman ang meron ako ngayon, nang walang ginagamit at hindi rin nagpapagamit.
"And I don't think na kailangan kong gawin ang mga bagay na yun."
Naghintay raw si Mike ng kung ilang taon bago nabigyan ng big break na maging bida sa mga drama series ng GMA-7.
Nanalo si Mark sa StarStruck noong 2005. At ngayon lang namang 2011 at 2012 siya sumasalo ng top-level simultaneous assignments.

DARING SCENES. May eksena si Mike sa Kung Aagawin Mo Ang Langit na naka-swimming trunks lang siya.
"Oo, nakadalawang beses na akong mag-trunks dun.
"Hindi naman parang briefs, parang shorts lang.
"Sa Cosmo [Bachelor Bash], briefs talaga," banggit pa niya.
Sa Legacy kaya ay gagawin din niya yun?
Sabi ni Mike, "Hindi ko alam, wala pa naman sa script yun.
"Pero sana, bago ko gawin yun, mapaghandaan ko, kasi medyo mataba na rin ako, e.
"Although sabi nga nila, mas maganda na itong 'itsura ko."
Hindi tulad dati na sumobra ang pagpapapayat niya, na ayon sa iba ay hindi bumagay kay Mike.
"Oo, pero nakuha ko yung ganitong 'itsura, kailangan kumakain rin ako.
"So, hindi ko kaya yung sobrang lean na katawan ng kumakain.
"Yung sa Cosmo talaga, talagang nag-crash diet ako nun, e."

MIKE'S NEW YEAR. Kumusta ang Bagong Taon niya?
Kuwento ni Mike, "Usually kasi nakiki-New Year lang kami sa kamag-anak namin, kasi 'yon na yung pinaka-reunion namin.
"Unfortunately, naospital si Lolo at hindi kayang umalis ng bahay.
"So, nag-celebrate na lang kami ng New Year, January 1 na mismo.
"Kinabukasan na, hindi na yung bisperas ng Bagong Taon.

This week, viewers of the family-oriented series, Daldalita, will get an extra treat with the special guest appearance of Raymart Santiago on GMA's original drama on the afternoon prime block.

The Kapuso drama actor will play the role of Tanzan, a jungle-man who will help Daldalita find her way out of the island. Raymart has been identified in top-billing the network's numerous high-rating child-friendly shows that were geared towards kids, Bantatay and Futbolilits, and now, he welcomes the opportunity to finally star opposite child wonder Jillian Ward in the program.

In the story, Daldalita meets Tanzan and his gorilla friend Goy after being trapped in an unknown island. She luckily survived a plane crash and finds refuge with her newfound friends. Mateo (Ogie Alcasid) and Katrina (Manilyn Reynes) join the rescue team and set off to help locate Daldalita.

The pressure on Mateo to find the child intensifies after learning that Daldalita and his missing daughter Lolita is one and the same person. After many years, Mateo will be finally reunited with his dear daughter Lolita. Will the father and daughter have a happy reunion?

Daldalita airs Mondays to Fridays right before 24 Oras on GMA's afternoon prime block.

Si Paolo Avelino ang masuwerteng napili ng GMA Entertainment TV na ipalit kay JC de Vera bilang male lead star sa top rated fantaserye ng Kapuso Network na Panday Kids.

Ayon kay Paolo, nagulat siya at hanggang ngayon ay hindi pa rin makapaniwala sa malaking break na dumating sa kanyang career.

“Nagulat po ako pero ‘di pa rin po masyadong naniwala kasi marami pong ganun, kumbaga pinagpipilian for this (project) tapos biglang ‘di matutuloy," pahayag ng binata sa Chika Minute ng GMA news 24 Oras nitong Martes.

Ayon kay entertainment reporter Lhar Santiago, dahil sa malaking papel na gagampanan ni Paolo sa Panday Kids ay kailangan niyang mag-concentrate rito at iwanan ang isa pa niyang proyekto na Ina Kasusuklaman Ba Kita.


Aminado ang young actor na hindi madali para sa kanya ang pumalit kay JC de Vera na nagpaalam na sa naturang fantaserye.

“Parang nakakatakot din po kasing sumabak sa ganung kalaking role kaagad, na biglaan," pagtatapat ni Paolo.

Ayon pa sa aktor, maging ang kanyang mga kaibigan ay masaya para sa kanya dahil sa malaking development sa kanyang showbiz career. Panay din umano ang pagbibigay ng word of encouragement kay Paolo ng napapabalitang nobya ng binata na si LJ Reyes.

Piolo Pascual confirmed reports that they will do the sequel of Eugene Domingo's blockbuster launching movieKimmy Dora this year. However, he said that they will skip Part 2 and will immediately jump to its last installment, Kimmy Dora 3. Piolo is one of the producers of the film.

"Diretso na tayo sa finale siyempre. Kasi kapag [part] 2, parang pinagdikit mo lang ang [parts] 1 and 2. Tinapos na kaagad namin, bilang adik ang director [Joyce Bernal]!" Piolo said with a laugh in an interview with PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) after the press conference of his Century Properties Azure endorsement held recently.

He added "We're still waiting for Chris Martinez to deliver the script. So, naka-standby si Uge [Eugene], lahat."

The actor-producer also mentioned that there are investors who showed interest in partnering with Spring Films, which Piolo co-owns with Joyce Bernal, Shayne Sarte, and Erickson Raymundo. However, Piolo said they would be keeping the same team.

"Not the same cast, but the same production team. Everyone is excited about the project," he said.

In a separate interview, Direk Joyce gave another explanation about jumping to the movie's third and last installment. 

She said, "Kasi usually, di ba, yung sequel medyo dangerous na? Tapos parang in the meantime, hindi mo alam ang pupuntahan mo kasi kailangan mong sundan yung first. Ayaw naming sundan yung first. Sabi namin, yung gagawin natin, walang pakialam sa first."

Direk Joyce also said that most of the original cast of Kimmy Dora want to be part of the sequel. However, she said, "Sabi namin, depende sa writer. Pero sa ngayon, parang ang hindi natatanggal is Eugene Domingo, yung tatay [Ariel Ureta] at saka si Elena [played by Piolo's personal assistant, Yaya Moi]."

The movie and TV director said that once everything is finalized, they may start filming the movie sequel by May. As for its showing, Direk Joyce said that they're targeting September, the same month Kimmy Dora hit the big screen.

Bago nagsimula kahapon, March 9, ang taping ngTalentadong Pinoy sa SM Skydome, pumayag si Ruffa Gutierrez na magpainterbyu sa mga reporter ng news at showbiz-oriented talk shows tungkol sa isyu na kinasasangkutan nila ni Kris Aquino.

Diumano, ang pagpapainterbyu ni Ruffa ang una at huling pagkakataon na magsasalita siya.

Kaninang madaling-araw, March 10, natanggap ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) sa pamamagitan ng e-mail ang official statement ni Ruffa tungkol pa rin sa insidente na nangyari sa studio ng The Buzz noong Linggo, March 7.

Sa statement ni Ruffa ay ipinaliwanag niya kung bakit naging emotional siya noong araw na yun. Nilinaw niya na hindi ang sinabi ni Kris na "ibang level ang saya dito" ang dahilan ng kanyang pag-iyak kundi ang naipon nang "condescending remarks" ni Kris sa kanya "through the years."

Inulit din ni Ruffa sa kanyang statement na tinatanggap niya ang apology ni Kris.

Ipinagtanggol din ni Ruffa ang kanyang ina na si Annabelle Rama sa pagbanggit nito sa pangalan ng kapatid ni Kris na si Sen. Noynoy Aquino. Matatandaang sinabi ni Annabelle sa interview niya sa Showbiz Central na huwag iboto si Noynoy bilang presidente dahil hindi pa man daw ito nananalo ay "mayabang" na ang kapatid nitong si Kris.

Sa huli ay humingi rin ng paumanhin si Ruffa sa pamilya Aquino kung nasaktan man daw ang damdamin nila at kay Noynoy dahil nasama umano ito sa "babaeng usapin."

Ito ang official statement ni Ruffa:

"I am reluctant to make a statement regarding the incident last Sunday to avoid being accused of 'gumigimik' but since I feel the need to defend myself, lest I be judged unfairly, and ayoko na pong palakihin ito so I will say my piece.

"First of all I hold Tito Boy and Kris in such high regard as professional mentors and personal friends.

"Secondly, I wasn't reacting to just the video clip shown wherein Kris remarked 'Ruffa, aminin mo, ibang level ang saya dito.' Hindi naman po ako mababaw at pikon na tao.

"I always conduct myself as a professional to let a supposedly small matter such as this bother me.

"That being said, the reason why I reacted that way, seemingly OA or not, is because aside from being understandably emotional that Sunday (it was my last 2 episodes as co-host of The Buzz), the series of condescending remarks noticed by viewers through the years which I've constantly brushed off in the spirit of 'pakikisama' also took a toll on me.

"I invite you to view replays of past episodes online and you'll understand exactly where I'm coming from. Off-camera, sometimes Kris acknowledges my presence and other times (like that Sunday, March 7) she would not.

"To clarify, I did not 'walk out.' After what I thought was a commercial break, I felt tears were starting to well up. I went back to my dressing room to compose myself. But the tears wouldn't stop.

"Third, my mom [Annabelle Rama] has nothing personal against Senator Noynoy and the Aquino family. She never attacked the good Senator's character. She just expressed what she was feeling at that moment. Just like you and I, my mom has her own perspective and we should respect that. After all, we do live in a democracy. 

"Lastly, in the spirit of unity and our long tenure on the Buzz I appreciate and accept Kris' public apology. I will always remember my 3 yrs on the Buzz with great fondness. I will miss everyone dearly.

"To Miss Kris Aquino's family, loved ones and fans worldwide, I would also like to apologize kung nasaktan ang damdamin niyo. Misunderstandings happen among the closest of friends. Ang importante po, nagkakaintindihan na kami.

"To Senator Noynoy Aquino, in behalf of my mom and the entire Gutierrez family, we sincerely apologize kung nasali po kayo sa isang babaeng usapin.  

Usap-usapan na ang nalalapit na pag-alis ni Ruffa Gutierrez sa The Buzz dahil sa paglipat ng TV host-actress sa TV5, kung saan magkakaroon siya ng ibang showbiz talk show, kasama sina Cristy Fermin at Mo Twister.

Pero bago pa man ang tuluyan niyang pag-alis ay nagkaroon ng malaking isyu nang mapabalitang nag-walkout si Ruffa sa The Buzzkahapon, March 7, dahil sa umano'y pagkapikon sa pambabara raw sa kanya ng co-host na si Kris Aquino.

THE BUZZ INCIDENTS. Nagkaroon ng ilang sapantaha ang PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) nang mapanood ang The Buzz kahapon tungkol sa ilang insidenteng maaaring naging dahilan o nagbunsod ng  umano'y tensyon sa pagitan nina Ruffa at Kris.   

Sa opening pa lang ng The Buzz ay naging kapansin-pansin ang tila hindi agad pagbati ni Kris kay Ruffa. Nauna kasing binati ni Kris si Boy at sinabing na-miss niya ito sabay yakap sa kabigan at co-host. Tila naghintay naman ng pagbati si Ruffa, kaya siya na ang nag-initiate sa pagsasabing, "Ako, hindi mo ako na-miss? Malapit na..." Tila ang tinutukoy rito ni Ruffa ay ang nalalapit niyang pag-alis sa ABS-CBN.

Sinagot naman ito ni Kris na matagal daw kasi silang hindi nagkita ni Boy kumpara dati na araw-araw silang nagkikita dahil sa palabas nilang SNN (Showbiz News Ngayon). Nag-leave kasi si Kris sa show dahil na rin sa sobrang stress matapos ang aksidente niya sa banyo kung saan nabagok ang kanyang ulo.

Isa pang insidente ay nangyari naman during their "P.O.V. (Points, Opinions and Violent Reactions)" segment. Ang topic nila for discussion ay ang nangyaring pagbibi-break umano nina Derek Ramsay at Angelica Panganiban ngunit nagkabalikan din daw after three weeks.

After ng VTR about the story, si Ruffa ang naunang nagbigay ng comment. Aniya, "Kanina we're actually discussing it, di ba? Every couple goes through problems. Ang napatunayan, they did go through a bump in their relationship. Pero doon sa two or three weeks na naghiwalay sila—"

Biglang sumabat si Kris at sinabing hindi sila naghiwalay.

Patuloy ni Ruffa, "Hindi sila naghiwalay. Nagkaroon sila ng problema. So, naayos naman nila yun. And now they're back in speaking terms and their really good."

Sumunod namang nagbigay ng komento si Boy na sinegundahan pa ni Ruffa. Hanggang sa turn na ni Kris na magpahayag. Nagsalit-salitan na ang pagbibigay nila ng opinyon.

Nang muli namang magsalita si Ruffa sinabi niya, "In any relationship, you either accept the guy or accept the person for the way he considers everything. O kaya iwanan mo na lang."

Bagay na kinuwestiyon ni Kris. At dito na sila nagsimulang magdiskusyon.

"I'll argue lang with Ruffa, shortly. You'll also change," sabi ni Kris.

"That's what people are saying," sabi naman ni Ruffa.

"Ako, me... quiet na ako," ani Kris.

Tanong ni Ruffa, "Why did Yilmaz [Bektas, Ruffa's estranged husband] didn't [sic] change?"

Paliwanag naman ni Kris, "No, I'm just saying. Ako nag-a-adjust. I'm trying my best and I see my husband [James Yap] is trying also to adjust. Like yung mga, I'm trying to be a little more quiet. No, really, di ba? Tapos noong sinabi niya na basta walang halikan. Okay. Di ba nga, nagkadalawang anak na ako sa KTM [Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo], walang halikan. Yun lang yun, you're trying to adjust talaga."

Sumabat naman si Boy na, "What Ruffi is trying to say is you either accept... Part of acceptance is adjusting, you know. And part of quitting and going away after you tried many times and things don't work, remember you have a choice to say goodbye."

"Especially kung nagmumukha ka nang tanga," wika ni Ruffa.

"Korek, yun naman ang hindi dapat, na magmukha ka nang tanga," pagsang-ayon naman ni Kris.

Even Ryan Agoncillo is uncertain whether wife Judy Ann Santos is indeed pregnant or not.

At the press conference held today, March 8, at Cravings restaurant, Shangri-La Plaza Mall in Mandaluyong City for the newest season of the toprating show Talentadong Pinoy, Ryan asked the invited entertainment press to remain patient as they are still in the process of verifying initial tests taken.

"As with anything in our life, hindi naman namin ipagdadamot, but at this point kasi hangga't hindi pa namin lubusang naku-confirm, di ba? We need some more confirmation. When the time comes, we will share it. We will share it with you guys once we have that solid confirmation kasi ayaw naman naming maudlot," explained Ryan.

The television host-actor did not deny though that the thought of fatherhood excites him, which also explains why he would rather not raise his hopes this early to avoid being disappointed should the doctors say otherwise.

GIANT LEAP OF FAITH. The good showing of Talentadong Pinoy plus TV5's promising future under new management encouraged Ryan to sign a three-year non-exclusive contract with the network.

ABS-CBN and GMA-7, according to Ryan, pitched in generous offers as well with the intention of persuading him to join their respective roster of talents.

Ryan, however, had a problem on one specific and identical detail stipulated on the contracts sent by the two giant networks.

"Kalakip nung mga offer nila was laging to quit Talentadong Pinoy, which was just out of the question for me," he confided. "For me and Noel [Ferrer, Ryan's manager] kasi, hindi naman lahat pera-pera. And ang Talentadong Pinoy, we were there from the start, together kaming lahat so just can't leave that."

And since the TV5 deal is a non-exclusive one, Ryan likes the privilege of still being able to work outside the confines of the Novaliches-based station. In fact, Ryan proudly revealed that his contract still allows him to work with the longest running noontime variety show Eat Bulaga! which is being shown on GMA-7.

"There's a part in my contract also saying that should ABS-CBN should need my services to be partner with Judy Ann still, I could go out and do it," said Ryan.

Still and despite the possibility of still working with the Kapamilya Network, Ryan took it upon himself to make his departure from ABS-CBN amicable by inviting the station's Head Cory Vidanes to their house for dinner.

"She was very nice about it and even wished me luck for the next three years," Ryan recalled being told by the network executive.

In hindsight, the articulate TV host and actor expressed awe and gratitude for being given the rare chance to work with all networks regardless of the cutthroat competition.

"As long as mabait ka sa katrabaho mo, as long as you meet the standards of excellence of whatever job you're doing, there's always work and space for everyone beyond the network wars," said Ryan.

Dear Friend Presents My Stalking Heart is Carl Guevarra's first regular show on GMA-7. Here, the former Kapamilya star is paired for the first time with Jennica Garcia.

Literally, "stalkers" daw talaga ang character nila ni Jannica sa My Stalking Heart. Carl is stalking Jef Gaitan while Jennica is stalking Marvin Kiefer. Jef and Marvin were both castaways in the second season of Survivor Philippines.

"Pareho kami ni Jennica dito na may ini-stalk. Ako naman, si Jef, who is my best friend here pero gusto kong maging girlfriend. Si Jennica naman, si Marvin naman ang ex-boyfriend niya. Tumira kami sa isang bahay. And nagulat kami, sila pala ang magpapakasal. So, parang nagkuntsaba kami. Pero yun nga, at the end, siyempre isa yun sa aabangan," kuwento ni Carl sa PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) during the presscon of My Stalking Heart kahapon, March 2, sa Eivissa Super Club sa Tomas Morato.

Dahil ito ang first project ni Carl sa GMA-7 mula nang lumipat siya from ABS-CBN, masaya siya na maganda agad ang naibigay sa kanyang project.

"Siyempre, sa akin, sobrang masaya ako. At saka pinagkatiwalaan nila ako agad ng isang show, bida role kaagad. So, siyempre, sobrang masaya. At saka first time kong naano itong role na ganito," sabi ng Be Bench winner.

Pang-summer episode ng Dear Friend ang My Stalking Heart na magsisimula nang mapanood sa March 7 ng alas-tres ng hapon. May beach scenes daw sila rito kaya may mga eksena si Carl na naka-topless.

"Yes, topless, meron talaga. Yun, abangan nila yun. Abangan nila yun kasi nag-prepare ako dito," sabi niya.

TEAM-UP WITH JENNICA. Kahit noong bagong lipat pa lamang si Carl sa Kapuso network, sinasabi na niyang si Jennica ang isa sa mga young actresses ng Kapuso network na gusto niyang makapareha. Ngayong magkasama na sila sa isang project, masasabi ba niyang natupad na ang pangarap niya?

"Yes, it's an honor for me to work with Jennica. Siyempre, one of the leading ladies ng GMA, tapos naging ka-loveteam ko agad dito sa Dear Friend. Siyempre, sobrang masaya ako," saad ni Carl

Kumusta naman ang bonding nila ni Jennica?

"Nakakadalawang taping na kami," banggit niya. "Noong first taping namin, talagang dun ko sila first na-meet lahat. Noong una, nahihiya ako sa kanila hanggang sa nagkausap-usap naman kami.

"Si Jennica, talagang supportive siya. Kinakausap niya ako. Pinapagaan niya lahat kaya nawawala rin yung pagiging mahiyain ko. Mabait siya. Minsan tinatawag niya ako, nagto-throw lines kami. Tapos minsan, sinasabi niya sa akin na huwag daw akong mahihiya. Saka minsan nagre-rehearse kami bago kami mag-take, nagkukuwentuhan."

Wish daw niyang mag-click ang team-up nila ni Jennica at masundan pa.

"Sana...sana talaga kung puwede. Pero siyempre, ako naman, kahit sinong babae sa GMA ang i-partner sa akin, okey lang. Kasi, hindi ko pa rin naman nakikilala lahat ng babae sa GMA," sabi niya.

DAIANA MENEZES. Marami nang lumabas na version ng kinahinatnan ng naging relasyon ni Carl at ng Brazilian model-TV personality na si Daiana Menezes. Pero karamihan sa mga yun ay galing sa side ni Daiana. On Carl's part, ano nga ba talaga ang nangyari sa kanila?

"Sa amin ni Daiana, first, nag-usap kami," simula ni Carl. "Noong una, di ba, sa kabila ako? Tapos, nagpatulong ako sa kanya kung sino ang puwede kong kuhaning manager. Marami ang nagsabi na si Perry Lansigan. E, medyo kilala niya [Daiana] yata si Perry. So, kaming dalawa ang tumawag kay Perry. Pero sa huli, desisyon ko pa rin siyempre, ako rin ang nakipag-usap."

Dadag niya, "Tapos, yung sa breakup namin, mutual decision yun, e. Nag-usap kami na para sa trabaho yun. Kailangan kong magtrabaho."

Totoo ba na nang mag-break sila ay sinabi lang ni Daiana sa kanya na ayaw na nito sa kanya and that's it?

"Wala siyang sinabi na 'ayaw ko na sa 'yo,'" paglilinaw ni Carl. "At first, ang sinabi niya, kailangan niyang magtrabaho. So, ako naman, noong first, hindi ko inakalang ganun. Pero bandang huli, na-realize ko naman na tama, e."

How does he feel na ilang linggo lang pagkatapos ng breakup nila ay lumabas naman ang balitang sina Daiana at Sam YG na?
