TV host and radio jock Mo Twister seems ready to face the breach of contract case that his former network GMA-7 is reportedly poised to lodge against him in the near future.
Weeks ago, talk surfaced that the Kapuso network is mulling suing the popular radio jock for jumping to the Kapatid network. Mo was a host of “Showbiz Central,” GMA’s Sunday showbiz-oriented talk show, before he made the move to TV5 where he now hosts two showbiz-oriented talk shows, namely “Paparazzi” with Cristy Fermin, Ruffa Gutierrez and Dolly Ann Carvajal; and “Juicy” with Cristy Fermin, Alex Gonzaga and IC Mendoza.
DJ Mo, who just came from a short vacation in Europe, addressed the rumored threat of a case against him with “'di ko pa narere-recieve ang kahit na anong notice or subpoena or anything like that, so tingnan natin.”
The brazen host added on "Juicy," May 25: “We’ve had contractual issues from the beginning when I showed interest if ever na pupunta nga ako sa TV 5. Hinintay ko naman na mag-expire ‘yung contract ko, which was May 3.”
He shared that the GMA network seemed interested in renewing his contract. “Sinasabi nila na they’re renewing it daw or something. This is something that I think kailangang pag-usapan ng mga lawyers.”
Cristy gave Mo unsolicited advice during the program, “Kung saan ka masaya, doon ka.”
Mo, with seeming conviction, replied, “Maligaya ako dito (sa TV 5).”
Before he left GMA, Mo wrote a letter to its executives and he reportedly got this reply, "I want to remind you; your contract ends at May and if you go to another channel, we’ll see you in court."
Mo admitted in one “Paparazzi” episode that he had a shouting match with GMA executive Wilma Galvante and that he sent her a “heartfelt” letter. In return, he said, he received a very “cold, icy” response.
Mo is known for his “Forbidden Questions,” which “Juicy” adapted into a segment called “Forbidden 5."
